Altes und Neues Rathaus

This photo shows the Old (left) and New (right) Town Hall (Altes und Neues Rathaus) in Lindau. The Old Town Hall was built in 1422 and was originally a Gothic building, but received its Renaissance style crow-stepped gable in 1576. The paintings date from the 19th century and show the history of Lindau. The New Town Hall was built between 1706 and 1717. Both are located at the small Bismarckplatz in the heart of the historic centre.
