Photographer's Note

Parish church St. Georg at Oberzell, Reichenau island, Lake Constance was begun 888 A.D. in late Carolingian style. The building does not seem very impressive, but it houses excellent and well kept frescoes from 10th or 11th century and was therefore selected to be a part of the Reichenau UNESCO cultural world heritage site.
This uncommon perspective shows the church including parish garden as seen from the lake's shore. Due to restoration work in progress and may be due to the corona situation, the parish set up an altar and wooden benches in the garden to celebrate mass.
