Beginning of December, we had a lot of snow. The splendor, however, lasted only a few days - but long enough to take some pictures.

Very subtle image. I like all the sparse and muted colors and the way they help to create the atmosphere of the moment. Really beautiful composition and great work with light.

Posted on my birthday, so it deserves a belated comment! Like all your recent postings, this has the benefit of a high viewpoint, to lend the photograph interesting aerial perspective. But it's the light that is the most important factor: the raking sun, and the deep clouds create a real sense of drama. The colours too are restrained and natural. Really good work.
