Afternoon in the Marais. Marais has some of the most beautiful "Hotel Particuliers" in the city, one of the most aristocratic of Paris neighbourhoods. First place to be touched by the French Revolution, with the destruction of Bastille ripe it out from its most important monument.It evolved from the aristocracy prefered place in the beggining of the XVIII century to the hart of the industrial revolution in Paris in the end of this century. It was this late revolution that save the Marais buildings from the great husmannian transformations.

Built at the end of the XVIth century, this hotel takes its name from Madam de Chatillon. Inside, one can admire a remarkable freestone corner stair.

Hello Flavia

It's a good idea to reveal elegant details of architecture. We don't pay enough attention at theses hidden treasures... And I think Paris is the perfect place for that !
This old slab is really refined and your framing brings it out.
Good eye to see it.

um belo detalhe esse do hotel, com boa presença da lamparina também, um dia vou colocar aqui também a do Grand Hotel de Minas Novas, mas o nome não é sofisticado não, a letra E caiu e não colocaram mais, hehe. Coisas do nosso interior.

Gosto muito de fotos de detalhes arquitetônicos, para o meu gosto sempre bonitas. Também gosto de ver palavras, letras ou números nas composições. Pelas duas razões a sua foto é ótima, muito bem composta.

This is an interesting detail, well framed and presented in an attractive composition!
Good texture in the wall, and the angle of light creates contrast and some shadow play...

a very detail shot. Great lgiht falling unto it.
Texture is great and give a very special feeling, an aesthetical one.
