Photographer's Note

Built in 1923, Marité is a French, last three-masted ship Neuvier Ground out of wood existing with being able to testify to the great hours of fishing to cod in the little attended New Ground seas. 47 meters length overall, it carries up to 650 m2 of fabric and does not move less than 450 tons for a draught of 4,20 meters.
Based in Fécamp, it foams during six years the North Atlantic with broad of New Ground lasting of hard campaigns, long from six to eight month. In 1929 it is repurchased by Danish who will make a coaster of it towards the Faroe Islands.
1973 will sign the end of the exploitation of the boat. Given up, this one was taken again with the state of wreck by five Swedish to give again the one second youth to him.
After its repurchase by a grouping of public interest, Marité joined the fleet of Etoile Marine Cruisings, which ensures management and the exploitation of it.
