Photographer's Note
A rainy tropical storm passing by along the "canal des Saintes" between Les Saintes (the archipelago in the background) and the still sunny foreground (south-west coastline of Guadeloupe, FWI)...hence the "white" circles in the middle of the sea, due to rainfalls.

Oh, you've taken advantage of the changeable weather conditions to create a gorgeous composition. I love the contrast of the darkness of the sky with the light on the flowers. Well done!

Hi Sebastien
The quick change in weather that you can experience mainly in tropical latitudes, make a good opurtunities of catching great photos with great light.
Your photo is a superb example of this.
Great light, colours, composition and DOF.
Well done

Hi Sebastien,
superbly colorful FG. It is a great contrast to the darker, more subdued colors over the sea. I like the vertical format for landscapes, less popular than the landcape format (LOL, though I shoot primarily in the landscape I never shoot landscapes LOL)

Hi Sebastien,
Good work. Simple composition but nicely executed. Good sharpness, colours and contrast. Wonder how a landscape POV would have lookd though? Do you have one?
Informative note.
Cheers,
Guru

Hello Sebastien,
Your photo is divided in couple of levels, this bottom one so fresh and vivid, contrasting the gray clouds and in between peers the bright sky... amazing colors, good sharpness, excellent.

Hi Seb. Catching the light on these flowers creates a wonderfully bright contrast with the storm clouds in the upper part of the frame. The Leica lens on your little Lumix has amazing DOF at f/5.6. One small point: If you had moved your POV a fraction to the left, you could have kept both the branches of flowers in the frame (but keeping the island in the distance where it is - that's perfect). Cheers . . . David

Hello !
Wow. What I like about your photo is the sky. It has the quality of a watercolor with the gray and whites. I believe this is why you have chosen to display it in a vertical format. Nice sharp crisp colors in the fg in the flowers. Very captivating photo.
tfs,
Karen
