Photographer's Note

This is a "One-Size-Fits-All" type of boat, from the harbour of real tough hard-working fishing-men of Le Guilvinec, Bretagne.
The guy who invented thit type of boat must have realize there was a great demand for a small, practical, professional boat where there is room for only ONE person. These fishermen spend their working days with a crew of 3-4 men on the chalutiers (one day at sea) and I don't know but maybe 5 to 6 or more men on the hauturiers (several days at sea), so I guess, sometimes they want to be alone, go on the sea, and fish whatever they feel like, for their own, on their day-off, or when they're retired. These boats are quite funny when they go out of the harbour, tuf-tuf, usually when the armada comes back, at 4:30 PM, making a race between one another "à-la-déloyale", first arrived, first served =beaucouze and beaucouze of money involved.
The Guilvinec is a small-in-size-but-big-in-activity-town which really fascinated me, and I hope you won't mind if I will post on the subject for several days to come, because I think TE members might enjoy a visit of France in a not so well-known area : la Cornouaille.
