Photographer's Note

You may think that my title is exaggerated but it is my feeling so much the scenario of this grape harvest was near to the ideal for me, TE is not a blog but I gonna try to explain you the exceptional characteristic of that harvest 2005. Throughout this year as the dryness was confirmed(The misfortune of the ones...),the grapes posted a beautiful health and has the approach of the grape harvest the oenologists said:every years of dryness are not great years, but all the great years are years of dryness. I pass quickly on the white dry and red(excellent but may be unbalanced with very high degrees, a little early to say)for coming to the late harvest wines(here Monbazillac), collected in 3 times, 1st between the 11 to14/10(few botrytis except specimens like one of my previous post "botrytis 2005")with an average of 18,5°(315gr sugar/liter)the following week was favorable to the botrytis, 2nd time to the24 to27/10 ( the Indian summer’s week) with degrees which going higher and higher days in days cause to the temperatures and to the south wind, finally the 3rd and last passage the 2,3 and 4/11 or the unit picked these 3 days made 21,8° (370grof sugar/l) I ‘ve never see that, moreover it is necessary to note the great purity of the botrytis, here it remains to me now has to supervise fermentations which will be slow because the yeasts one evil has to work in a medium also sweetened. Well i Promise that my next images and notes will be less "personel" but more universal, and then I require to photograph another thing that vines or grape.
Good week to you all,

rhizomes, fayeulle, jrj, Philippe has marked this note useful
