Photographer's Note

Gainsbourg, the man who raised over the media and the show business. I like this picture because of the position of the drawing of S.Gainbourg over the graffitis and the vanity of human life.

The 'Bleu-Blanc-Rouge' tag is linked to the national anthem 'La Marseillaise' interpreted by an original way... ;)

'Aux armes, et caetera...'

The word 'Rouge' is not entire in the shot cause I wanted to take the drawing just in the middle of my compo.

Hi David, well i've been missing nice photos i see... so i'll start a critiquing marathon now ;)

you say there's a drawing beneath those graffities and posters? well, them i must believe, i can't see it though... but them, its already 3am in Lisbon so my eyes can trick me ;)

I dont know who Gainsbourg was but the graffitti has a very literary style, very French. The colors remind me of aged paper, maybe thats why it reminds me of a book.

Nice contrast of colours. And not only it... your photo has something... this is so characteristic from big cities like Paris or also Barcelona... I think that this is good. Thanks to this is more than paintings over a wall.

Des graffitis qui finissent par créer un véritable tableau abstrait aux couleurs vives mais qui vibrent. Serge Gainsbourg était, je crois, fils d'un artiste peintre. Il n'aurait effectivement pas renié ce "tableau", fruit des taggeurs.

This is a wonderful picture, David, the clour is amazing and it says so much about Western urban life (alienation, deprivation, anger etc) Wow! I'm never going back.! Artistically, it reminds me of Jackson Pollock,it has that same spontaneous, chaotic energy. Regards Kevin

bravo david, j'adore ces photos de graffitis.. j'en ai aussi de verone ou d'autres villes et souvent les associations sont vraiment tres belles;-) enb tout cas j'aime bien...

Salut David, mais dit moi ta gallerie est splendide ! Je suis simplement pas trop fan de la toute dernière que tu as postée mais pour le reste c'est du grand art !
Je m'arrete sur celle ci que je trouve particulièrement réussi (ouai normal en temps que parisien, je n'ai pu m'empecher de regarder ce que tu as posté comme photos parisiennes), j'aime bcp le résultat de cette photo, très colorée et fouillie au possible, comme le sont certains murs parisiens, et cette dédicace à Serge
