Lots of snowfall in the Pyrenees during the end of year celebrations ... but ski resorts closed due to the pandemic, that's how it is!
A view of the Church of Esquièze behind a curtain of snowflakes.
A shot taken in the beginning of the day and with flash to well see snowflakes.

danas smo komsije sa fotografijama na TE.
Imamo istu temu, sneg.
Lep pogled i trenutak, lepo mesto sa snegom, lep pocetak novog dana, dobro pokazano.
Lepa fotografija i uhvaceni trenutak.
Sneg je u mnogim drzavama napravio velike probleme.
Zelim vam lep dan za odmor, sve najbolje.

Lots of snow is falling, too. I like the bg church which offers a good focal point. The dark naked trees add a superb graphic element. Tfs!

Hello Jean,
You captured the huge snowflakes perfectly. The church and the trees make the composition nice, but this is mainly about the atmosphere created by the snowfall. The good management of light and sharpness was essential for the effect.

A beautiful capture of the snow, Jean, too cold for me...
Even under the mild 0/ low light condition, managed a clear picture, fine details of the car, trees and building on the far side.

You've made excellent use of the flash here.
It brings out the white flakes strongly, creating extra depth in the photo and strengthening the wintry atmosphere.

Tu as bien capturé la chute des flocons de neige. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'église d'Esquièze. La lumière environnante a un bel effet sur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hi Jean,
Lovely looking dense snowfall. The flash worked quite well with ambient light, creating great looking winter atmosphere. And the old church makes a great background of course.

Hello Jean,

Though I am not really a great fan of snow, I do love snowy scenes! The environment seems to look so very different, when dressed in a white, fluffy overlay.
When you manage to capture it, like this, with huge snowflakes falling, the scene gains even more character, almost like a sense of movement!
Besides the wintery character, this is also, a fine composition.

Bonjour Jean, we really feel to be in the midst of this snow fall as you have highlighted the snowflakes with the flash.
The church, the trees and the wall are an alternative focal point to the falling snow.

the snow falling is ever a show, anyway I saw this once, in ushuaia, and it wasn't so big as we can see here. nice contrast with the landscape around.

Hi Jean.
Very nice photo with these large snowflakes, falling in that town, the effect is very beautiful. Here in Madrid the flakes were not very big but they did fall very abundantly and it must be taken into account that it was snowing non-stop for 36 hours, during the night with a blizzard.
Good sharpness and lightness.

P.S. The last big snowfall in Madrid, similar to this one and for which we have data thanks to the newspaper library, was on November 27, 1904 and the worst thing is that now we have a cold wave, for tonight -8ºC.

This is a beautiful and atmospheric scene, with the snow on the tree branches and the roof of the church. A clever idea to use a flash to highlight the falling snow. It has worked well.
