Photographer's Note

Le col de Saoubathou , à 1949 mètres d'altitude , permet de relier les vallons d'Aumet et de Belonce , et de rejoindre le lac d'Arlet par un sentier en balcon .
Ici , une vue vers l'est : en contrebas , les estives de Spélunguette , avec la cabane qui n'est plus utilisée par les bergers mais a été rénovée par le Parc National , puis le bois de Broca de Lizère ; et , tout au fond , dominant le décor de sa silhouette caractéristique , le Pic du Midi d'Ossau (2884 m).

Bonjour Denis,

This is a quite an amazing view across the mountainous scenery.
WE can see close-ups of the rocks and distant views of the forests and jagged mountain peaks.
The sense of distance is vast and the sense of character wild!

Bonjour Denis,

Il faut se pencher un petit peu vers l'écran et plisser les yeux pour réaliser qu'il y a une petite habitation dans la vallée verdoyante noyée au centre des montagnes qui donnent le vertige.

I know you posted a new photo, but I had to take a closer look at this one. what I enjoy most about the photo is the depth, and how the landscape seems to be a never ending row of mountains. We get the sense it continues for infinity. Add in the light, its beautiful. well shot as usual. cheers
