Il était là le héron cendré, perché sur cet écriteau portant la mention :

RESERVE PECHE INTERDITE

Je n'ai vu aucun volatile venant s'approcher de l'oiseau gardien !

L'image n'a rien d'exceptionnel, juste un moment de la vie quotidienne.

Hello Philippe,
You got a lucky chance and used this fine opportunity well. The photo is amusing and it is also nicely composed with the trees doing well as frames. I wonder if the guardian itself respected the rules or maybe tried to catch a fish when nobody was watching.

A well caught moment as if the bird is guarding the pond making that sign his temporary residence. Nice birdlife in the wild, even though the lighting is not so inspiring, Congrats

Les branches cadrent bien la scène. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du Héron cendré. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

A lovely view of the green lake, very nicely surrounded by the branches and leaves on all sides. The small sign and the heron are very well included, well seen.

Hello Philippe,

The word 'interdite' is also used in Romania so I know it, & the sign means 'fishing prohibited'. But the bird doesn't seem to care. The heron looks like it is watching closely for any sign of a quick fish meal. Tfs!

Fishing may be forbidden for humans, but not for herons. He was eyeing the fish from a nice vantage point. 👍
