Photographer's Note
On a hot August day, what could be more refreshing than the contemplation of this water jet ...
Basin Garden of the Bishop, Episcopal Palace built around 1669 which today houses the Museum Goya (Spanish art museum) and the Town Hall Castres in the Tarn.
"The garden extends the diocese has been designed by Le Nôtre, gardener king in the 17th century. A real jewel, because it is a rare example of a parterre gardens in France. Le Nôtre mastered the irregular shape of field trapezoid, bordered by Agout by deflecting its composition to the right to give it more depth. His masterpiece was the 4 compartment floor, with boxwood arabesques ending with windings supported and crowned with palms and scrolls. The apparent axis of this gorgeous set is the water source.
In addition, this garden has been preserved in its entirety, giving it great historical, cultural and educational, both at national and regional levels ... "http://www.ville-castres.fr/site .html
