Photographer's Note

Facade of theater in the city of Castres in the Tarn seen from Garden of the Evéché.
Inaugurated April 17, 1904, the theater of Italian Rococo style was built to plans by Joseph Galinier, Toulouse architect and student of Garnier. The interior design takes of the Opéra Comique in Paris and exterior architectural style has a unique blend of centuries past borrowing and references to the decorative language of his time.
