Photographer's Note

Petit Bé is a tidal island near Saint-Malo close to the larger island of Grand Bé. At low tide both islands can be reached on foot.

The most beautiful place of St. Malo is the one where Chateaubriand is buried (on the island of Grand Bé, in a grave facing the sea). And if you should ever happen to go there, choose a raining day when nobody wants to walk across the muddy sands of the low tide! You'll have the peace and quiet to enjoy the beauty of it all!

The picture is taken from the island of Grand Bé, barefoot... while it has raining! And it was quite an adventure!
