Photographer's Note
Another image of the daily life in Montmartre - Place de Tertre - the favourite setting for open-air paiting studios. Ignoring all those artists who are showing their art for the only purpose of attracting tourists, I tried to catch the long-forgotten atmosphere of Montmartre in the belle-epoque. Hence, the timeless portraits and the use of B&W.
The difficulty of these pictures is not their composition but the over crowded little square, not to mention the painters' reluctance to be photographed.
So : be nice, be quick or be gone!

Hi Adina. I wonder, looking at your objectives, whether a more severe cropping to the sides would have been more effective.Particularly omitting the easel on the right and the display stand on the left. The B&W treatment is effective. Regards. Klaudio.
