Hi and welcome to TE! Powerful shot, and the wide perspective gives the idea of how abnorm this forces are. It would also be interesting to crop away half of the picture (the right part) and bring out those mountains, the flash and the spookey blue light. It would be a different picture, but the one you presented works good as well!
Keep goin'

Powerful shot showing forces of nature I really like this and appreciate how rare it would be to get a shot like this. I think that about an inch needs to come off the bottom of the picture, but fantastic shot anyway!

Hi. You've caught an amazing shot here. I like the drama in the shot, with both fire and lightning. The only thin I miss is a litte more sharpness in the lightning. But guess that is a minor, because it seems to be a one in a lifetime shot.

Nice capture with the fire an lightning together like this. I agree with the others about cropping. But still a nice posting.
Welcome to TE

Hi Alain,
I was wondering what was your first photo and I found this one.
And all I can say is WOW!
You were extremely lucky or persistent to have caught the lightning in just a 1s exposure. Dramatic!
As you are a veteran of TE, you see the small things that can be improved, like cropping the bottom dark part.
Yes, I forgot to write: WELCOME TO TE!!!

Your very first picture. Lightning and fire together. A lethal combination. Excellent picture and good capture of the fire and the bolt touching down. Nature is very impressive in their displays of power. Nice picture Alain.

Hi,

Ciao

Very powerful shot, as many have noted. To be honest I would prefer a more rectangular crop, maybe omitting some of the top and bottom of the photo. Don't get me wrong, you could also have used a frame. A definitely "Bravo shot".
