Photographer's Note

A photo very similar to my previous one. Same place (ria of Etel in the south of Brittany), same technics (tripod, graduated ND filter and a stormy sky !), but a different POV with more space given to the marshes.

In the marshes in the foreground you can see a white spot. I am not sure because I am not a specialist in ornithology, but I think this is a egret. It is one of the many bird species you can watch in the ria of Etel. The north marshy area of the ria is a Natura 2000 area. Natura 2000 is an ecological network of protected area in the territory of European Union. These areas have an important heritage value because of their habitats and species. Natura 2000 aims at protecting biological diversity while taking into account economical, social, cultural and local requirements of these areas.
