Photographer's Note

We had a typical march weather in Brittany this week end : lot of heavy showers and hail all the week end long. Well, such weather discourages going out. But it also makes nice opportunities for photographers to catch the nice atmospheres you have with such weather conditions. So I decided to go out. I needed a flat place to give a lot of place to the sky but also something on the ground to cath the attention. No doubt ria of Etel is the better place for this ! So here we are in the northern area of ria of Etel, a river submitted to tide in the south of Brittany between Lorient and Vannes. The photo was token on the road to Verdon point in Locoal-Mendon. At this place the road moves on a isthmus from where you have a POV on the water north & south. I was lucky the tide was high so I could catch the reflections of the white houses in the river in the background. I used a tripod (because f/22 !) and a graduated ND filter ton keep details on this stormy sky.
