Photographer's Note
We left the hotel at 8AM, took our car for 1/4 hour drive and then climbed first in the forest and then on the ridge of a valley with the sun just above the summits. After 3h 1/2, we reached our goal, a geologic fold (see WS) located close to the spanish border at a height of 950m.

Hello Claude,
There are lots of fine diagonals in this photo, among the hillsides as well as the line of trekkers. This doesn't look too physically demanding but should anyway be good for your health, as well as providing photo opportunities. I like the many green tones and the light on the partially sunny areas. The workshops are almost equally good and together they make an interesting set of photos.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Claude,
This is so interesting.
Your three photographs tell quite a story!
Your photograph is full of diagonals: the line of people following one, repeated by the sunlit slope and the hills, into the distance, whilst an opposing diagonal comes from the right.
The sun was strong but it illuminates particular areas in a striking way, giving a very 3D effect.
I'm interested by the wall at the front of the cave. Did people used to inhabit it?
Thanks for sharing this.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Claude,
An interesting note and three wonderful photographs from what must have been a fascinating trek. I particularly like the picture of that remarkable geological fold and the single person standing within it really does give a perfect impression of its size and scale.
Three beautiful photographs with lovely light, fine vibrant colours and excellent details and clarity.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Bonjour Claude
Une image bien composée avec cette pente dans la diagonale du format.Les teintes engendrées par cette lumière donnent ce caractère si particulier à cette image.Une belle photo.
Bonne après-midi

Hello Claude
As ever in photography, it's the light that makes the picture, and the strong raking side-light here is very dramatic. What a change here on TE to see a photograph that isn't flat and lacking contrast. Did you add yellow or green filtration? The sky suggests you did!

Will

Hello Claude, the morning light is delightful as it highlights the terrain, and the party of people trekking along the path.
Thank you for the workshop pictures, as they seem to complete the story.
What a lovely place for a walk.I had never heard of it before.
Regards Jean.

A very atmospheric walking picture, Claude. Great diagonal and wonderful light with saturation right up to the limit. The last man's feet are just outside of the frame, but in fact I don't mind that here. It seems to add even more dynamic to the shot.
Cheers

Salut Claude,
Belle luminosité avec ces ombres qui accentue le relief déjà magnifique avec ces montagnes, bon effet de diagonales avec les versants et la colonne de randonneurs.

Hello Claude,
The light is perfect for this type of mountain landscape photo. The diagonal line of hikers and the slopes of the mountains adds a graphic touch to a beautiful image.

Hi Claude,
this is perhaps not my kind of holiday but I like this beautiful scenery very much. High mountains and deep valleys, green colors tones as long as I can see, great! Fine diagonals and good depth. An attractive shot with an adventurous touche!
Have a nice evening/
