Critiquer quotidiennement vos photos est aussi un plaisir. Je suis admiratif du travail de beaucoup d'entre vous.
Votre production démontre jour après jour que l'oeil et la créativité sont les éléments fondamentaux de notre passion commune.

Pour ce 100ème post sur TE, voici un assemblage de 3 photos prises au 11mm sur les bords de Saône, à Lyon.

Comme cette photographe apparaîssant à gauche de l'image, et comme vous pouvez vous en douter si vous êtes familiers de ma galerie, depuis que je fais partie de notre communauté je me suis très souvent demandé comment cadrer au mieux l'architecture qui borde ces quais.

Avouez que l'on a l'embarras du choix, non ?>

Pour cette 100ème, j'ai donc essayé de vous en montrer la plus grande partie possible. depuis le quartier Saint-Georges, avec au premier plan sa passerelle et son église.
Vous reconnaîtrez bien sur la colline de Fourvière et sa Basilique, ainsi que les façades des quartiers composant le Vieux-Lyon.

Compte-tenu de la difficulté pour Autostitch de faire correspondre les perspectives et distorsions de photos aussi typées "super grand angle", j'ai dû retoucher manuellement la forme du clocher de l'église Saint-Georges (cela se voit sur l'image), et couper le reflet de ce même édifice.

For this 100th TE post, here is a panoramic picture composed by 3 images shot at 11mm, along Saône river borders, in Lyon.

Like this photographer represented on the left part of the picture, since I post pictures on TE I often asked myself how to frame lyonese architecture.

Lots of details to catch, hard to choose !

For this 100th, I tried to show you the most I could in one single picture, from Saint-Georges district, with its bridge and church in the foreground.
You can recognize Fourvière hill and its Basilica, and typical Vieux-Lyon frontages.

Assembling these "super wide angle" with Autostitch pictures was difficult (perspective and distorsions hardly match). I had to manually work on the church bell-tower shape (you can see it in the image) and I couldn't avoid to cut the bottom of its reflection.

Hello JB. This is an awesome panorama. Yes the colors and details are fantastic. The picture is very clear but the work you took to put this panorama together is remarkable. Not an easy task to make it look this good. Cheers :-)

Felicitations pour ta 100eme !
3 photos @ 11mm on peut dire que t'as pas recherche la facilite et tu as du batailler ferme pour la distortion, tu avais aussi la possibilite de prendre plus de photos mais en format vertical, ce qui reduit un peu ce probleme: Cela dit les vues d'architecture c'est toujours tricky a prendre pour faire coincider tous ces details. Bon point de vue ici avec une introduction dynamique a gauche et de la profondeur sur la droite, et un PP JBesque...

Very nice view, but some things bothers me a bit. There is slight touch of photographers body with the left side of the frame and its a pitty the tower reflection isn't complete. There are also some auras visible above those buildings. I like the perspective and depth in this one. ;-)

c''est presque une vue a 180°,la compo est bien amenée avec le pont a gauche et le basilic qui trone fierement au milieu de la photo, dommage que le ciel ne soit pas uniforme.
c'est toujours un réel plaisir de découvrir tes nouvelles photos.

Couleurs très contrastées, un poil trop pour ma part mais ca reste une très belle photo.

The colours are really lovely in this shot. Good saturation. The reflections os the clouds in the river are dreamy. I like the inclusion of the bridge leading directly to the church.

Honestly... what a horrid attempt at a panorama picture. It looks like a DRI-experiment mixed with some outdated panarama software fed with some useless starting pictures...

Oh wait a minute, you said it yourself: the perspective and distortions didn't match and you needed to manually fix some very important parts of the picture...

why post something that had no chance to begin with? And then for your 100th post, if that is an important anniversary for you? Bad decision.

Coucou JB,
Ton 100ème cliché est très marqué par ta touche perso en PP avec la difficulté de l'assemblage en grand angle. Par ailleurs je pense que ta note exprime bien le sentiment de beaucoup de Trekker; à beaucoup c'est mieux ;-) Bonne prochaine centaine.

Bonsoir JB, the result seems to be quite good. The panoramic view is very impressive ad I love the way you composed it managing to fit so much of the beautiful Lyon in it. The photographer is a great bonus and so well placed at left of the frame. I like the strong perspective of the bridge leading to the marvellous scenery in the background. This would give a fantastic Large Version...

félicitation pour ta 100ème et pour ton assiduité sur ce site. Je trouve que ton style est le bienvenu et ta galerie est une bonne source d'inspiration. Concernant cette 100ème je la trouve très belle avec un superbe effet panoramique. J'aime beaucoup comment l'oeil est guidé par la passerelle St Georges pour remonter ensuite les quais de Saône. Bravo et bonne continuation

A mon tour de te souhaiter toutes mes félicitations pour cette 100ième photo et elle le mérite (Je me joins aux propos de Xavier concernant le commentaire dure et inutile de Benjamin). The stitching is nicely done, specially considering the distortions from the wide angle lens. The circular polarizer really makes a good dramatic sky on it as well.

JB, toutes mes félicitations pour tes cent premières photos. Tu as l'oeil du photographe et en plus tu maîtrises beaucoup l'art du PP (ce qui n'est pas la même chose que l'art d'être grand père !)
Pour ce pano, tu as choisi la difficulté en optant pour un grand angle quand tout le monde préconise le 50 mm argentique donc 35 en numérique. Le résultat me semble excellent avec une passerelle et une église qui semblent dominer Fourvière, quand on connaît les lieux c'est surprenant.
Continue à poster d'aussi belles photos.

Toutes mes félicitations pour ces 100 premiers clichés, tu t'es fait une place ici sur TE, tes photos sont estampillées et signées, griffées je pourrai dire. Ta gallerie est très belle et nul doute que tu connaitras encore plus de succès dans l'avenir, si tu continues a chercher, a creuser, a oser.
Donc bravo pour cette tentative, ça a de la gueule, techniquement parfaitement maitrisé, la réalité est certainement faussée mais qu'est ce que c'est beau pour les yeux .. c'est la tout le dilemne des retouches.

Congrats on your 100th posting. This is a superb panorama shot that shows a delicate touch. I have not ventured into stitching yet, but this works well, with the lines flowing nicely and all in sharp detail. There is a lightness or airiness to the scene that has great allure and does the city proud. Well executed.

Hi JB. Nice work. Photo stitching is a difficult art to master, I think it is part science also. This is a wonderful image , the bridge makes a good lead-in and the colours and reflections are great and of course having some-one in the frame is always a good addition. Thanks for sharing.

Felicitations pour cette 100eme, la vue est tres sympa, par contre si je peux me pertmettre une petite critique, il me semble que l'image est un peu trop contraste, bon c'est un peu culotte de ma part parce que j'ai aussi ce defaut ;-) cela dit c'est un style assez esthetique me semble t-il

Bonjour JB -

I am really impressed with the work that went into this image. First, the setup and the selection of equipment - I never would have thought to use a super-wide angle lens for a panorama because of the stitching problems. Secondly, the resolution of the super wide problems and the stitching. You have been able to maintain a constant exposure over the extreme wide view, maintained the form of geometry throughout the image, and have provided a unique view Lyon. Bravo, well done!

JB,

Il y a une atmosphère très spéciale dans cette photo qui me plaît beaucoup. Un p'tit quelque chose avec les couleurs qui donne une ambiance spéciale, un peu irréelle mais très belle.

J'aime beaucoup le format que tu as choisi, je trouve qu'il sied parfaitement à la photo.

J'adore ce pont qui s'élance à la rencontre de l'autre rive avec une perpective parfaitement maîtrisée de tout côté.

La réflection des bâtiments dans l'eau et de ces si beaux nuages est splendide.

Pour ta 100ème, tu as fait un beau et bon choix. Le choix d'une grande photo qui est non seulement une réussite mais également une SPLENDIDE composition pleine de détails plaisants et fort bien réussis.

J'espère continuer à voir de belles choses (j'ai pas trop de doutes à vrai dire) jusqu'à ta 200ème !!!

Congrats on 100! I think this just begs for a large panorama posting...you could still do that. So much detail here, that I think it would be more impactful at larger size. That sounds funny because even at this size its really impactful
