Photographer's Note

Sight on the village of Sainte Enimie in the heart of the gorges du Tarn in Lozere, since the hermitage. This medieval village is one of most beautiful of the department but also one of more attended in summer. The Tarn which makes the joy of the amateurs of bathe and canoe-kayak becomes a dangerous enemy with the autumn: at the time of the floods caused by the strong rains on its source on the Mont Lozere it regularly invaded the ground floors commercial. At the time of the monstrous flood of September 1900 (more than 17 m) it went up to the third stage of the houses and it passed above the bridge!
