In love...., a photo from Corse, South

A little experiment today. I used some tips from Summer89. I make this picture from the Saint Florent harbour in color. Than i make the picture B & W except the ship. I hope you like it.

BTW I'm still in love. What a beautiful ship...

Het is zeker een geslaagd experiment. Mooie foto en door het schip alleen in kleur af te beelden springt ie er echt uit.

I like it very much, Robbert, you know I'm a fan of this technique, and it really work great this time. I'm still looking for the action, but it seems that you are in a calm mood today..
I think that your decision to desaturate the background is very clever in this cas, because there are many cars there, and in b/w they are not so distracting. This is really excellent, Robbert, very well done.

La photo est bien construite , le seul petit reproche c'est un defaut indépendant de ta volonté c'est le lampadaire à gauche du drapeau qu'il serait bon de retirer je pense en post tratement.

It's very nice Robbert. Both the boat and your shot. I certainly could be in love with a boat like this one.. Easy.. About the post processing. Well... I like it but I am not sure I would do it myself..

A good use of this effect, although i would have desaturated the flag as well as the red is too strong now i think. The reflected light on the boat is a really good feature, great shot.

The photo is great and your edit work is wonderfull. And where you have same object dificul to select, like same wires.

Yes, that is indeed a very good shot to apply this technique to, Robbert. Deemphasize whichever distracting elements there are, and focus on the centerpiece, this very beautiful ship. The way that the reflection of light on the rippled water surface is showing on the white part of the boat is a very compelling detail. Well done.

Robbert, iemand heeft een van mijn foto's op deze manier verwerkt en ik vond het mooi, maar deze is zeker nog mooier, u zegt het zelf wath a beautiful ship, uw experiment mag gezien worden, de boot geeft meer cachet, absoluut mijn gelijkwensen.

Excellent. I particularly like the way the wind has caught the French flag... infact I think the strong colours of the flag make it the centre of the photo. Nice!
