Photographer's Note
My last "tower in the park" shot. As the weather was bad that morning I kept my spirit up trying to find foregrounds to the Eiffel tower rather than taking pictures of it in detail. The light was still so poor so with handheld camera I was limited to silhouette pictures against the sky.
The left part of the picture is a line of well cropped trees that form the south side of Champ de Mars which is the park between the tower and École Militaire.

Your "Eiffel Tower Series" surprises me every day, Ebbe, cos they look new and refreshing.
i like a lot the way the branches 'match' with the elements that form the tower...
oh, and the way its top disappears in the fog... so romantic :))
congratulations, once again!

Very well spotted Ebbe. I like how the line of the hedge is straighter than the architecture. Also, very nice composition into the fog. Well done.

It is so nice to see these difrent views of the Eiffel tower that you show us. I really like how it just disapears right in to the fog in this shot. It makes it all more intresting.

A very original framing again, Ebbe, you got an excellent theme of the Eiffel, with many unusual shots.
There are two minor problems here which I would like to fix -
1. The foggy top is a bit distracting, I'd crop it.
2. The line of the trees is not vertical.
I made a WS, but still, I like this shot very much.
Will you make a theme out of this?

The composition is very well balanced, I like the fact that the edge of the trees follow roughly the same line as the far edge of the tower. Each element are allowed to play its part on the 2D surface undisturbed and to the full effect, edge to edge. It's also very good the the silhouette of the trees are plain black while the tower is grey, this gives more depth to the image. I think it's great that the top of the tower dissapears in the clouds, it gives another fine contrast to the row of trees, and it's just interestingly unusual.

And a well cropped picture too, Ebbe. Credit to both you and the gardener! Nice to see the depth by the shade of black and grey (as in one of the previous photos), but this time it's all the details in the tree that's most intriguing. The tower is certainly "standing back" in this picture. That's why I would like to have the top visible (not cropped) - but you can't have everything, can you? Especially not on a rainy day... So well done!

Good shot, Ebbe. This is an interesting and unusual view of the Eiffel Tower. I like the similarity between the iron frame and the small branches. Very well seen.
