Standing in peace, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

Again, this is a close up of the peace monument at the end of Parc du Champs de Marcs. The monument consists of two rows of columns on each end and between them a platform with a passage and along this platform there is a glass wall. On this glass, and on the columns, the word peace is written in many languages with different alphabetes.
This time I i used the columns to frame the tower but I cropped a bit harder when I got home. The only color in this picture was the buildings along the lower edge so I made it true B&W. The top of the tower is still in the clouds but things got better later on.
BTW, this and my two last pictures were taken within 10 metres from each other and within a minute or so.

I like the way the tower fades into the clouds, and it's well framed by the columns, but somehow the motive is more obvious than some of your earlier Eiffeltower photos lacking a the little witty twist. Still a fine image though.

Another unusual angle for the Lady. Don't know what happened in the mist area, the pic seems to be a bit damaged (compression ?)

Nevertheless a nice composition again, Ebbe ; thank you very much for your active contribution to my theme... ;-)

I like the symmetry. Very well framed. Great black and white shot, too. The way the top of the Eiffel disappears into the clouds makes it look like a reflection tha thas been disturbed. The only thing that could make this great photo any better would be to get rid of the buildings below and behind the Eiffel Tower. But this is great, anyway. Very good job.

This is much better (again), Ebbe! Nice angle, nice framing and as usual the tower is not the main subject in the composition. To crop off the bottom (if that's what you did) to eliminate distraction was right. And B/W with the top disappearing into clouds (blurred by moving clouds?) works fine with me. The only thing I'm a bit uncertain about is the chink between the two columns to the left - I don't know...

But on the whole, it's very nice - very peaceful!

This is a unique perspective. Standing tall and peaceful, this structure also implies confidence and stability. It takes a good composition to achieve this message. Good work.

Very good framing. If you moved a little bit to the left, you could avoid the space between those two first columns.
But still, original view of the lady, and very good composition.

Great photo, I love the detail and calmness of it, as it is in the title, oh yes, I would have loved to see the bottom of the Eiffel too.

This one is my favourite of all of your Tour Eiffel series. Although all of them are really nice and original.
