Photographer's Note

Deux Magots
Days ago Jason post a photo of this café at day, same year, 2012, I took one capture at the late evening, here people is active, talking, drinking or smiling happily as does the guy back at the middle in what seems a relaxes ambiance

Why so near?
It was 9.45 in the evening of a long warm day, so people keep walking along St Germain Boulevard (where the Café is located), waiters busy with customers, night has not yet fallen, still light was warm, so good time for one more photo of the iconic place, now my own version
I began focusing a bit away, trying not to call the attention of customers but there was always someone walking past me, so I waited till for seconds, there was nobody between the me and the seating people

About the Café
Open from 7 to 1 in the morning
Founded in 1812 at 23 rue Buci, it was transferred to Place St Germain des Pres in 1863
At the heart of St Germain quartier, a place where locals and tourist mix because from the terraces the view is great, the boulevard St Germain, the church, the Brasserie Lypp restaurant, at the other side of the avenue, la Hune bookshop, some singer ( like Edit Piaf years ago) from time to time
The waiters are dressed old stile in black and white, it attracts personalities from the world of arts, literature, politics and people from all over the world

*By the way I was going to Café Flore, some meters away from this and with less tourist in it
