Photographer's Note

When I do my grocery shopping in a local market, I often pass through the courtyard of Hôtel de Sully in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. On my way back as I enter the gate to the courtyard, those gentlemen are already there, playing the horn of hunt. As far as I know, when portable telephones were not the most popular means to communicate at the hunting ground in 17th century. They literally communicated with the music. What an elegant way to communicate each other. They look absolutely splendid in their uniforms. I am not for the idea of hunting, but I can admire their music, since these gentlemen are fine musicians.
