The balloon was getting inflated and suddenly the Pilot said : "Hurry, get into the basket". I did.

And I undertood we had taken off. And I understood we were already high in the sky !

Quel silence... !!
Malgré la précipitation de l'envol semble-t-il.
Les photos sur le sujet sont étonnantes... Moi qui suis tétanisée sur la 3ème marche d'une échelle, je suis admirative de ce genre de cliché!
La terre est vraiment belle vue du ciel.

Belle vue d'une montgolfière, Stéphane. Pour avoir volé deux fois, je sais ce qu'on peut ressentir quand on profite de la vue dans le silence et à faible vitesse. Les quatre montgolfières du bas sont bien placées pour contre balancer celle du haut.

Ah superbe celle-la! J'adore la compsotion avce le plus gros ballon d'un ccote et tout le groupe dans l'autre angle. L'equilbre globale de l'image est aisni super. La brume legere qui s'etend encore un peu partout apporte une douceur tres seyante. On entendrait le son su silence sans probleme (sauf quand ils mettent le brueleur a fond!!!).

C'est assez magique ces photos de ballons, ici j'aime beaucoup comment le ballon detache et plus visible equilibre la masse plus anonyme en bas a doite.

une ambiance terrible ! entre ombres et lumieres. tres belle opposition de cette mongolfiére seule et ce petit groupe en contre-bas. la lumiere est splendide.
je suppose que ce doit être un grand pied que de voler à bord d'un de ces monstre de toile.

Great image translating exactly that feeling of silence. Your title is very good and gives the right idea and yet the silence is always been interrupted by the huge flame that needs to be fired intermitently for the balloon to stay in the air. I like to see the differnet moments with some ballons still on the ground and another getting closer to wher you are - high in the sky!

surement un grand moment à vivre, voler en mongolfière ! se déplacer en altitude à faible vitesse et apprécier le paysage... c'est un envol matinal apparemment, peut-être proposeras tu une autre vue plus éclairée, en attendant j'apprécie celle-ci et j'apprécieégalement l'idée de faire un thème sur le silence ;)

The experience to fly with these ballons must be really great, indeed the silence and the big panorama in front of us are the most important things of this experience, and I like that.
The image is beautiful and well done, as usual from you, and the soft mist adds good peaceful atmosphere to the image, compliments Stephane.

On ne voit pas les ballons en dessous dans le thumbnail, il faut ouvrir la photo pour les découvrir ainsi que tout le paysage qui s'étend si loin...

This is quite simply the most perfect ballooning picture I have seen!
The composition with the single high balloon and the many lower ones could not be better and the early morning light is fabulous!

Voilà une expérience que je n'ai pas encore tentée. Je m'étais inscrite une fois pour un vol, mais il a du être annulé car les conditions météo n'étaient pas bonnes. Ce que j'aime sur ton image c'est cette impression de très grand calme que l'on ressent lorsqu'on la regarde. Le paysage qui se perd dans la brume matinale, ce ballon rouge idéalement placé dans le ciel et les autres petits points de couleurs tout en bas... ça donne vraiment envie de voler un jour!

Ta photo est impressionnante : je crois que j'aurai eu peur si haut... mais en même temps, le "silence" doit être extraordinaire et mérite à lui seul qu'on brave sa peur!
Ta photo nous laisse percevoir les différents niveaux des montgolfières et celle qui te précède nous permet de mesurer l'étendue du lieu. Belles couleurs, belle brume du matin qui laisse supposer une température frisquette...
Tout cela est sympa.

Gorgeous! Evrything on the compo seems to be in the perfect place - the shapes on the fields, the village, the flying balloon, the other balloons... Then there is that gradient of light and the contrast of the colours... Simply wonderful!

Hi Stephane - the landscape is pleasant but not particularly special, but the light and perspective are both unique, I like the cluster of lower baloons in the bottom right,and the high baloon in the upper left, but there is overwhelming contrast between the upper right and lower left, those quadrants are lost.

Hi Stephane,

Simple landscape but of great visual effect, I like the tranquillity that can be felt, correct composition and an image with a different atmosphere, perhaps with a polarized filter or one of ultraviolet you could have eliminated that light fog and have created stronger contrasts, anyway an interesting work. Thanks to share.

The ballons attract you to the photo but the landscape allows your eyes to wonder glancing here glancing there and back again. Oh to be high in the air. Like this alot. Lovely Pov.

Fabulous image...like a drop of water (but inverted) in the wide expanse. The silence is palpable. Lovely landscape, hazy & still misty down below with the four balloons on the right also in the ascent.

C'est vraiment le paradis des photographes ces vols en mongolfières. Magnifique point de vue que celui-ci avec un lever de soleil tout en douceur. J'aime beaucoup les couleurs et la sensation de légèreté qui se dégage de l'image, très agréable.

Another great balloon shot Stephane. Your POV is excellent. The lighting is very nice, with the rising sun. A very balanced image, with the single balloon perfectly placed and the grouping of balloons in the lower right.
