Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer you this interesting winery, in the beautiful Alsatian village of Eguisheim, I hope you like it, then some letters about the town.

Eguisheim is a locality and commune of France of the department of the High Rhine (Haut-Rhin), in the region of Alsace and place of birth of the Pope Leon IX.

The name of the city means "room of Egino", Germanic name. In fact, the Duke Eberhard founded, in the year 720, the castle of Eguisheim, named after his carnal cousin Egino.

In the Roman settlement of Eguisheim, the cultivation of vines in Alsace was pioneered in the fourth century.

The grandson of the 3rd Duke of Alsace, Count Eberhardt, ordered the construction of the first of the fortresses that surround the town since the 8th century and the reconstruction of the existing castle in the center of the town, formed by concentric streets around it.

In the year 1009 Bruno de Eguisheim-Dagsbourg was born in Eguisheim, bishop of Toul who would be named by the catholic church Pope, with the name of Leon IX and later sanctified.

At the beginning of the thirteenth century the population passed into the hands of the bishopric of Strasbourg, suffering successively the effects of the general plague epidemic of medieval Europe and the damages of the Thirty Years' War.

Taken with perfect pov and light. Very good layout and perfect sharpness.
The typical architecture of the region can be seen almost on every corner of this nice capture.

A beautiful and sunny day, which showed this lovely village so well. The small and narrow houses look so charming with the yellow walls, half-timbered architecture and flowers in the windows. Very well captured.

my goodness, look at these buildings. You won't find anything like this here in Canada :) Not only the style, but the colors are attractive and eye catching too. Look at the edges of the buildings, they're not straight, so that gives it so much charm. great to have the blue sky to contrast the yellows, which always blend well. cheers

Je me souviens très bien de ma journée passée dans ce village. Le plus beau de France en 2013 je crois. Ce bâtiment jaune est de toute beauté et le viticulteur propriétaire est bien fier de son vin. Magnifiques couleurs.

quel ensemble de maisons et vue fnatastique dluble maisons en colombage avec la petite entrée d'une archtiecture très fine de très belles couleurs et cette petite entrée entre les deux maisons toutes belles décorées sueprbe.

A pretty little town that reminds me of southern Bavaria or Romania but the cross hatch half timbered facades are not so common there. Wonderful warm cold colour contrasts between the gold and blue. Good sharpness too. Tfs!

The corner building with its sharp angle looks very special.
Wonderful architecture and very pretty small towers.

Dos meses pasan rapido y luego a disfrutar de mayor libertad.
Una magnifica imagen de este precioso pueblo, este es un rincon ideal, yo tambien la hice pero no tenia tan buena luz y no me quedo tan brillante como la tuya.
Muy eficaz colorido, que destaca los detalles de la imagen.
Una buena gestion, tanto de la luminosidad, como de la nitidez.

We travelled up the eastern side of France, last week but, unfortunately did not have time to stop to visit this beautiful region! Maybe, next time!

I will have to content myself with sharing your crisp, clear photographs!
This is a delightful spot!
It probably hasn't changed much, externally, for centuries.
I like how you have composed the photograph so that we can see houses, the courtyard and have a narrow road to exit.
The light and colours are excellent.
