Photographer's Note

Steam ship hyöky, also known as "Helsinki", docked at market square Helsinki. The ship is built in St. Petersburg in 1912 and was originally named as Libauskij. It came to Finland in 1917 as a war booty. It has been working as a lightship in Helsinki and also near Rauma until 1959 when the lighthouse near Helsinki got completed. Nowadays the ship acts as an Museum and a cafeteria.

A nice portrait of this old mistress of the seas Jarrko - I particularly like your well chosen POV and the animation of the image by the wind blown flags - very nice colour too.

Nice, you (unintentionally) beat me to it! I saw it this summer at the dock and have been thinking about returning to include it in my Lighthouse theme. Well, I still have to visit it. :-)
