Photographer's Note
Here's the strangest set of murals I have seen. This three column strip is from comics called Fingerpori. It is a Finnish comic strip written and drawn by Pertti Jarla, and is probably the most popular one in Finland. Many strips play with Finnish words, and are practically impossible to translate. But you can find a few English versions here: https://www.expat-finland.com/living_in_finland/fingerpori.html

Hello Kari,
This is a great collection of photos, and what a superb idea to make these cartoons into wall paintings. I would love to see something like this in Stockholm. The photos are very nicely taken and well presented. A very original but superb contribution to TE.
Best wishes,
Gert
PS Wonderful cartoons at the link. They gave me a really good laugh.

Hi Kari,I did not know this Finnish comic book character, he is very funny and a bit like me talking about the belly .. ahhaa ... really remarkable the idea of creating a series of gigantic murals on these buildings, a great collage with the touch of snow which is always an added value. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Kari,
This urban art is cool. :-) I like all three views, and we can see how snowy it is in Tampere, too. The bottom shot is my favorite. I wonder what planet he was being taken to... :-) Take care!

Hello Kari,
This is a very original set of wall murals and they make a very original set of photographs, sharp and informative! How good that they have not been added to by graffiti!
I must admit, I had never heard of Pertti Jarla before but I enjoyed looking at your link!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Kari
now this is a funny collection of photos :)
how cool is that to have them so large, huge murals, it adds a level of uniqueness to the area. I wonder how the people living there feel? Do they like it? excellent post for TE
cheers

Hello Kari, an excellent triptych. I assume that the buildings follow on from each other so the story is clear?
An original idea that made me smile, and I am sure lots of other people who have seen it!
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hi Kari,
They are strange but funny murals. They certainly brighten up these rows of boring-looking apartments. The montage works well, showing us the story in the three murals. Great sharpness and light control.
