Photographer's Note
Söderskär lighthouse, built in 1862, in the Porvoo outer archipelago.
The lighthouse is no longer in maritime use. The lighthouse and surrounding buildings are currently privately owned. During the summer months the lighthouse is open to the public. Restoration work of the lighthouse and surrounding buildings is ongoing. The former lighthouse keepers houses now house a café, souvenir shop and a "hotel". The sauna (yes, we build them everywhere!) is the building on the right, next to the pond. As Söderskär is part of a bird sanctuary (Natura 2000) landing by private boat is allowed only between August and April.
A wide angle lens easily distorts lines, but the lighthouse building really is tilted a bit.
PP: Shot in RAW, just tweaked brightness, contrast and saturation a bit to get the sky where I wanted it. At work I now see the foreground is a bit dark. Some shadows&highlights might have been a good idea on this image... Cropped from the bottom.
Last time I visited was around 2003. This time was mostly for taking my boys out there to see the lighthouse. They are almost as fascinated as I of lighthouses. :-)
