Photographer's Note
The only remaining piece of water between Scandinavia and Germany is Fehmarnbelt, with a breadth of 18 km. Combined roro and railway ferry Prinsesse Benedikte is one of the Scandlines ferries in permanent shuttle service.
The ferries will be replaced by a combined four lane motorway and two rail track tunnel below Fehmarnbelt. This requires to improve road and rail accesses on both sides. Trajecting of ICE trains has therefore been terminated in December 2019 as rail improvement work is in progress on the Danish side.
Prinsesse Benedikte was selected to traject the last Eurocity bound for Copenhagen.

Hello Sven,
The giant ferry has a big mouth... seems as "devouring" all cars coming to its belly...
A clear & nice take from a close range, the decks and windows are modern and elegant.
Good afternoon,
Ike
