Photographer's Note

The closed shipyard is not entirely abandoned. The old production halls can house unusual activities such as climbing. It's just not the same in a closed down bakery or garage.
There is also a supplementary photo in the WS.

Hi Frank my TE neighbour today!

Good to include the 2 climbers at bottom right as the man in the blue shirt climbing the wall tends to be slightly camouflaged at first glance. The lighting on the couple is all offering stronger graphics. Vibrant color and a surprise to see rock climbing is a popular sport in a country with no mountains or huge cliffs. Tfs!

Hej Frank,
Detta är en riktigt elegant och originell bild. Färgerna, formerna och detaljerna är fantastiska och bilden är full med dramatik. Hade detta varit i Hollywood hade väl den klättrande kvinnan legat på magen på ett platt golv, och bilden sedan vridits 90°, men jag ser ju på personerna längst ner att detta är "på riktigt".
Jag önskar dig ett Gott nytt År.

Rather them than me:-) A well cropped image with the climber judiciously placed in the frame. I like the strong geometric lines and colour contrasts. The couple stood bottom right give a good idea of scale.

Thats an interesting reuse of the place! I've seen these kind of walls before, but never as big as this, those are huge! I like the way they are painted too, it gives both your photos a nice graphical element, like a work of art with little people climbing all over it!

That's a great idea what done here with the abandoned shipyard, Frank.
You show an adventure I never carried-out, intriguing, interesting and yet difficult task.
The colors are having a good calming effect for the participants.
