Hvar Harbour, a photo from Splitsko-Dalmatinska, Coast

Photographer's Note

The spectacular view of Hvar from the fort, which is an easy walk uphill on zig zag paths. Part of the Pakleni Islands just offshore can be seen at right. The tour boats dock at the marina at left in this aerial image and there are walking tracks to the beach and restaurants at left. The restaurants at the marina were more daytripper friendly and didn't insist on reservations.

The cpf brought out tonal variations in the sky which I have excluded here. There is a bar and restaurant at the summit selling cold drinks and snacks. I had a glass of wine whilst admiring the view.

Bonjour voisin d'un jour. Un magnifique point de vue sur cette belle ville portuaire.L'ensemble est bien construit autour des bateaux sur le port. Une belle netteté et de très belles couleurs.

Looks like a very busy little harbor. I miss sailing since moving to the desert, I used to sail a lot when I live in San Diego. Great pov showing the expanse of the ocean with good lighting and crisp details. Well done, tfs.

Hi Chris,
this is such a beautiful sight! I have noticed that Croatian coast often looks best from above so great that you were able to find such great elevated POV there.
I have finally purchased tickets for my trip to Croatia next year so I will be using your ideas while planning my trip :) although I won't have this much time.

Beautiful picture, I like the very well saturated color tones. with the dark blue water and red roofs. Busy harbor life adds a nice touch with the boats making variety of trails there on the water.
Very impressive and encouraging to visit!

and you're right, this is a pretty spectacular view from the fort.

is this place close to Dubrovnik?
I like that you left out the skyline, using the blue water as your bg and main colour contrast.
perfect day too, the lighting is A+
