The large waterfall (78 m) of the Plitvica river at the Lower Lakes.
With its exceptional natural beauty, this area has always attracted nature lovers, and already on 8 April 1949, it was proclaimed Croatia’s first national park. The process of tufa formation, which results in the building of the tufa, or travertine, barriers and resulted in the creation of the lakes, is a unique universal value, for which the Plitvice Lakes were internationally recognised on 26 October 1979 with their inscription onto the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Hello Janusz,
Scrolling down to the bottom of the picture I suddenly see that person on the walking trail.
He (or she) gives a good indication of the scale of these falls.
Beautiful bright falls in a good combination with the branches in the shade on the foreground.

Lovely shot of this impressive waterfall. Just as a suggestion: I think I'd have framed it with more sky and removed the foreground at bottom with the boardwalk in order to make it seem "wilder". But this would also be a bit of a cheat, pretending the place is more off the beaten track than it actually is, and also losing the human figure which gives scale to the majestic scene.

Un grand merci pour nous faire profiter de ce spectacle grandiose avec ces cascades qui doivent faire un bruit permanent infernal, mais la beauté est telle imposante que seul le spectacle compte.

cześc Janusz, Bardzo ładne zdjęcie z Plitwickiego Parku Narodowego. Dobrze, ze jest ktoś na tej drewnianej platformie, bo widzimy jak wysoki jest ten wodospad. Śliczne kolory i super ostrość. I wolę takie ostre zdjęcie niż jedwabisty widok. Fascynujące miejsce.

Hello Janusz,
It's a very good photo of the fantastic waterfall. The person at the bottom is important for the understanding of the dimensions and also adds the human touch that most photos like this need. Exposure and sharpness are perfect.
