Photographer's Note
Plitvice could be known as the Water Paradise, as it has 16 small lakes and multiple waterfalls and streams. Declared a Natural Park by the authorities of the former Yugoslavia in 1949, Plitvice Lakes have been recognized by UNESCO as a nature reserve since 1979.
Plitvice park has 30,000 hectares of pristine nature. If we choose to visit during the week and early when the "population" of tourists is lower, the contemplation of the largest waterfall in the park, de76 meters of free fall, or beech forests produce an effect of peace that we can hardly reach tourists altering the silence.
Plitvice is mostly you have (75%), very little fir and pine. In addition, yellow toads, a handful of lynx, deer and owls, all hidden from dePlitvice peaones.
At the park entrance panels Plitvice most frequent word it is travertine. It refers to the miracle that converts moss rock as the water is deposited lime and lime.
The resulting 16 lakes are baptized according to the legends drowned beneath the waters. One is the lake of the Roma; other, Grandma; It is also the Pastor Mile, and closer, the greatest of all, the de las Cabras. Is 2.5 kilometers long, more than reasonable to sink the 30 goats optimism relied too much on the strength of ice to escape the wolves away. More prudently, it is now possible to cross by boat.
Under these pools there are also gems like the curious crab Astacus astacus river, the calcareous material used to coat the shell becoming more stone. And the Proteus, a rare salamander that lives only in these caves, without eyes and without pigmentation, any color flesh, as God brought the world.
Plitvice was, according to old maps, "Devil's Garden". Today it has regained its splendor of paradise, despite having become another hell during the war, when guerrillas kidnapped Serbs park and even threatened to blow up their lakes. Fortunately, no blood reached the river. Red has never been a dominant color in the wide palette showing the waters of Plitvice. The color of these lakes can range from gray mirror Finnish pond to the clear turquoise Caribbean beach. The water changes color from hour to hour and from shore to shore. It all depends on thousand factors such as the amount of minerals and organisms of the deep, rain, moss or angle of light.
--------------------------------------------

Hola Luis,
The very known corner in the Plitvice National Park, as it is a "protagonist" picture in any tourists-advertisement of this place.
Superbly taken a frontal view across that water, vivid and special turquoise water with abundance of green all around.
Pleasant to watch this photo.
Buen tardes,

Hello Luis, I have seen pictures of the lakes before, but never one from this angle.I like the way that you got up quite close to the waterfalls; it is quite special, the way that the falls appear through the green vegetation.
The colours of the lake are beautiful.
Very interesting notes, hank you.

Hi Garcia
A great view of falling water in the natural environment and real flowing just at the right amount of movement. Gorgeous shades of green on top and bottom sandwiching the main focal of interest creating a striking colour contrast and vividness. An alluring capture indeed with ideal exposure time, Congrats.
Best regards

Hello Luis,
A beautiful view of these small and narrow waterfalls, which look all the more interesting thanks to the alternation with the darker cave walls. The green makes a very nice colour contrast too. Excellent impression from a wonderful place.

Hello Luis,
This place looks like something very close to Paradise. The water falls into a marvelously colored basin. The light green leaves and the turquoise water frame the view perfectly. Your excellent exposure and handling of the colours are essential to the beauty of the photo.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hola Luis,
I had the plan to visit Plitvice but the weather forecast was quite bad for this area so I have changed my plans and finally didn't see it at all.
I supposed I have a reason to come back to this picturesque place.
Beautiful presentation here, you have captured the essence of this national park: waterfalls between the lush green vegetation.
Beautiful!
Have a great weekend,
