Photographer's Note
My quick visit to Počitelj, last year I did not go to the very top where is located well preserved tower. This photo was taken on my way up. I will post some more photos taken from the tower.
It was very hot day,you can see the haze in the air. It would be much better in the afternoon.
Počitelj a small city in the south western part of Bosnia and Herzegovina lies on a hillside that makes a kind of amphitheater and overhangs the Neretva river. It is on the road from Mostar to the Adriatic coast.
It has a long history and was first mentioned in 1444. Its special Ottoman architecture makes it a jewel and has been inscribed in 2007 on the Unesco World Heritage Tentative List.
It was inhabited by a mixed community, mainly Moslem and suffered extensive damages during the 1992-96 wars. It has now been almost entirely rebuilt in its previous condition.

It is a great view over the town and the river. I like the verticals of the minaret, the tower in the background and the trees. The green frame of the view is also a nice detail. Well done.

Zdravo Brano.Izgled je vrlo ljep a povjest donekle tragicna. Dobro je cuti da su se zgrade obnovile, ali teze je obnoviti ranjenu dusu i unisteno povjerenje. Pozdrav. Klaudio.
