Sint-Laureins is a municipality in the Belgian province of East Flanders. Sint-Laureins is located in the Meetjesland region, in the northwest of the province, near the border with the Netherlands. The vast agricultural community has more than 6,500 inhabitants and is best known for its polders, creeks and waterways.

marvelous these plains with flat lands filled with water, the trees at distance added a special aspect and the horses added a touch of life. excellent. so nice when we can cross borderlines with not documents to show.

Hallo John,
Twee landen op één foto en zonder een grensovergang te zien!
Een zwaar bewolkte dag maar het landschap oogt heel helder.
De grote baan links en de langgerekte plassen in de weide zorgen voor veel diepte in het beeld. Een bekoorlijke foto met de paarden maar toch enigszins triestig voor die dieren in dat kille weer.

Interesantan i lep pogled, lep trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Kepa zelena polja sa vodom i drvecem u pozadini, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa oblaacima koje dolaze sa kisom i konjima.
Lepo drvece pored puta koji nas vodi tamo daleko u nepoznato.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.
Konji uzivaju na zelenom polju.
Dobar tekst o koriscenoj tehnici i elementima snimka.

Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje.

Hello John,
I like it, but we can see there had been a lot of rain, so the meadows were soaked with water. The dark clouds seem to threaten more downpours. But the weak light created nicely soft colours and horses are always nice to watch. The large version reveals two more in the distance.

Naast de paarden zijn er veel andere goede elementen hier, John. De weg en het water zijn mooi geplaatst, lijken van mekaar weg te gaan...maar het mooiste is de bomenrij in de verte. Ik vermoed dat daar een kanaal ligt?

Hello John,

The sky looks to be threatening rain, which links nicely with the waterlogged state of the flat meadows, explaining the weather conditions.
The horses make interesting focal points adding a sense of sympathy for the conditions that they are enduring.

Beautifully composed with the road coming from the left corner and the diagonal pools of water. That yellow stripe adds more interest.

Nice rural scene on a bleak winter day but the green colour and the horses break the greyish dull day and this makes for an excellent record shot.

Hi John,
Nice rural scenery. The horses indeed add a nice touch although they are so far that they are hard to miss. It would be worth to zoom in to show them closer. I think you wanted to show the road in the left and the trees aligned along it but I think the center fragment could have worked more like a scene from wilderness.
Terrible weather but you managed it very well,

The two horses do not mund the gray sky and cold, as long as they can graze of the fields, John.
Border with Holland where the yellow field with no fence between, normal life as evidence.

Hi John.
A wonderful composition, with this great perspective of the great plain, with a delicious greenery and some grazing animals, the two puddles of water give us an ideal of how wet the ground is, the diagonal of the road gives a sense of perspective getting lost in the remoteness.
A magnificent color, which gives the image a lot of chromatic richness.
Optimum management of lighting and sharpness.
