December 21 start of winter.

This is my second picture of the Eeklo Yachting club and entrance of the canal

I was out early with my bicycle; it was -2 degrees Celsius freezing. I visited the marina of Eeklo, with a beautiful sunrise.
I took some pictures, and you can admire the result
I hope it is approved.

Yachting Club EECLO
The Eeklose Yachting & Kampeerautovereniging, in short vzw EYK, was founded on January 20, 1993. Since then, it has managed the recreational domain on the Eeklose Vaart, a side arm of the Schipdonk Canal. The marina of Eeklo was built at the initiative of the non-profit organization and has now grown into a tourist attraction in the rural Meetjesland.
River tourism is on the rise and via the Ghent-Oostende canal you can easily reach the heart of the centre of the flat Meetjesland. The marina of Eeklo has a slipway or slipway and, in addition to traditional moorings for pleasure boats, also offers an ideal base for hikers and campers, thanks to the specially constructed and quiet motorhome parking. In addition to fishing and kayaking, you can enjoy a snack & drink on the rippling water in and around the cozy clubhouse with bistro kitchen. In short, the Marina of Eeklo is without a doubt worth a visit!

Lovely lines and colours. Even the vapour trail of a jet in the sky adds yet another line.

Hi John,

I appreciate the reflections on the water. The point of view is showing the details o0f the boat and of the trees. The colors and the sharpness are very good. I can see a white line left by an aircraft in the sky. Have a nice day.

Hi John,
Great light. Interestingly we can see some frost in the shaded area on the left side while the right side is so well lit by the warm sunshine. It feels as if each side was in a different season.
The reflection adds of course a lovely touch here,

Hello John,
You had a beautiful morning, maybe a bit cold but with a very good light. I don't really see any yachts, but there are many other things to watch and admire, like the long row of trees in the distance. My favourite details are actually the jet stream in the sky and its reflection in the canal, looking like a long white snake.

Zeer bescheiden jachthaventje, zeer bescheiden yachtjes. In Monaco of Doha is dat wat anders, haha! Maar wel een mooie foto natuurlijk en aan die natuur kunnen ze niet aan in Doha of Monaco!

Heel koud maar je had een prachtig licht dat het water mooi blauw toont en de planten en bomen warme rood-bruine tinten bezorgt.
Uitstekend perspectief en de bomenrij bakent de horizon mooi af.
Mooie weerspiegelingen in het kalme water.

Good work, the way the fresh morning light falls onto the scene as the calm reflective canal grabs attention with vivid detail holds the focus in so firmly. Compo and pov indeed look great, excellent depth, wide dof and beautifully coloured. Excellent shot and intrigue in this..
