This visit during Covid-19 a Bruges, this is allowed in Belgium at the moment
Second picture of the same mill, I took this image out of another side, with nice autumn colours.
Windmill “The New Parrot Windmill”
De Nieuwe Paregaai is an old mill in Bruges that once served as an oil mill. The mill was originally built in 1790 in the village of Beveren-aan-de-Yzer. In 1970 the mill was moved to Bruges and the name of the mill was changed from "Hoge Seinemolen" to "De Nieuwe Papegaai". This mill served as a replacement for the mill "De Paregaai" that previously stood on this spot. The movement of the mill was done via the canal on two rafts. It was not possible to transport the parts of the mill through the city centre. Once the mill was up, it still had to be set up as an oil mill, but that never happened. The mill is still completely empty inside today. The mill was restored between 2009 and 2010, but no plans have yet been made to redesign the mill as an oil mill. The mill is easily identified by the parrot on the roof.
I hope you like it

Hallo John,

Hello John,
The same mill with the original colour, now seen from the other side. The light was still good from this side and this version is just as sharp as the last one. Main difference, apart from the angle, is that this time there is no jogger.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello John, an alternative view of the mill, and here we are able to see more of the surrounding landscape I think.
A well composed scene with the path leading us to the mill.
The bare trees allow us a better view, although there is still some autumn colour in the shot.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi John,
The path leading to the mill is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the windmill. The light is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi John
Wonderful to be surrounded by all that variety of autumn colours. I love how you have positioned the historic icon works well for compositional values. A vividly captured which signifies the end of summer sunshine and weather. Looks a lovely place for a stroll through the avenue of trees. Lovely capture

Hello John,
So we see a different angle on the windmill and one which is very effective. I like how the curved, tiled path makes a leisurely approach to the windmill, with lots of autumnal colours and details either side.
This viewpoint would not have been so good earlier in the year, when the trees had dense canopies of leaves, but now, the naked branches almost invite us us, to peruse the red windmill more closely!
A fine exposure and a fine composition.
Keep safe,
Bev :-)

Mooi hoe de weg naar de molen leidt. Waarom heet de molen papegaaimolen? Is dat een verwijzing naar de gekleurde vogel of heeft het iets te maken met gaaien (kijken) naar papen (katholieken)...ik vraag het me af.

Hi John,
A beautiful autumn view of this pink windmill. The propeller, or whatever it is called look really big. Most of the leaves are already fallen, opening this angle to the view. In summer the windmill would be almost invisible from this angle.

Hi John.
An interesting story as for a mill reflects upon the importance of food precessing machines in old days. Very nicely taken scene, the path leading to the mill and the autumn leaves all over the place give a beautiful atmosphere and colour. TFS!!!

Hi John,
beautiful new point of view on this charming pink windmill. Both design and the color of this structure are extraordinary. The autumnal setting is so apparent. The leaves dominate the scene.
Very well used footpath which leads the eye to the windmill.
The trees provide interesting shapes of their branches,
Excellent work,
M

Hallo John,
I like the curving path to the red windmill and the change from a yellow leaf strewn grass to a bright green on the small hill. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!
