During my bicycle trip today.

I took this morning with less sun this nice Oak trees.

Way with both sides summer oaks, with wonderful colours

Pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) is a very long-lived European hardwood-producing tree. The leaves of the pedunculate oak are very difficult to digest, which has an influence on the litter layer in the forest.
Since the last Ice Age (Weichselien), the oak has spread from southern Spain, southern Italy and the south of the Balkans to the north across Europe. The Dutch and Belgian native oaks are originally from southern Spain and southern Italy. In addition, many oaks from various other areas have been planted in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Hallo John,
Op dit moment zijn de herfstkleuren wel op hun mooist en de mix van groen, oranje en geel is zelfs heel mooi wanneer er geen herfstzonnetje op schijnt. Een mooi gezicht op de weggetje met een aantrekkelijk mix van kleuren aan beide kanten.

The photo is quite simple, but the colours are beautiful, on the trees and also on the ground. The two long lines of orange leaves on each side of the road give the photo a wonderful depth. You balanced the composition well and exposed the photo perfectly.

Hello John, Marvelous autumn picture. These oaks do not look so old. We have in Poland some very old trees- the oak called Bartek is around 800 years old.

Hello John,

You seem to have some delightful autumn colours in Belgium, both on the trees and on the ground! Where I live, the winds seem to have helped remove a lot of the leaves, before they had time to display the richness of the colours!

As always, you have chosen a fine viewpoint, creating great, linear perspective to a strong disappearing point.
The cobbles, edging the road, add interesting textural details.

Hallo John,
De herfstkleuren zijn prachtig.
Reeds heel wat bladeren zijn gevallen maar de bomen zijn nog lang niet kaal.
Opvallend hoe mooi gekuist het wegdek en de voetpaden zijn, net alsof de blaadjes enkel op de zijbermen gevallen zijn.
Mooie compositie, goede scherpte en diepte.

Hallo John, the picture has an excellent depth. It highlightes the autumn colors. This cycle path was built in a park. The yellow and brown dead leaves start to accumulate at the foot of the trees. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Ik dacht altijd dat de zomereik een echte autochtone boomsoort was, maar nu blijkt dat jij sinds de ijstijd langzaam onze richting is gewandeld. Waarschijnlijk zal het niet lang meer duren voordat hij de poolcirkel heeft bereikt.
Gelet op de vele eikels dit jaar krijgen we een koude winter.
