A new bicycle trip in a lovely nature.

DAMME NATURE

Wet nature serves bee buffet.

Global warming and the increased pressure on our water supply mean that many of our wet nature reserves already dry up in the spring. As a result, fewer flowers bloom and the bees and bumblebees have a hard time. Restoration of flowery, wet nature areas is therefore absolutely necessary.

We do this, for example, in Damme and the Kalkense Meersen, with the support of Mondelēz International and Delhaize. With solar-powered water pumps, we provide the ideal wet conditions that many herbs and flowers love. Large rattles, real cuckoo flowers, wild daisies and Pentecost flowers form a colourful palette here in spring. They form a dream buffet for bees, bumblebees and other insects.

I hope you like it.
