Kanegem is a village in the Belgian province of West Flanders and a municipality of city Tielt. The village lies in the east of the province, at the border with East Flanders. It is a rural village with more than 1000 inhabitants. It bears the nickname "Flower Village" or even "Green Village".
The Saint Bavo Church is the parish church of Kanegem, in the Belgian province of West Flanders. It is a neo-baroque church.
This church is also known as the Cathedral in the country and is committed to Bavo. The previous church was first mentioned in 966 and was connected with the St. Bavo's Abbey in Ghent. Since 1126
