Mountain, shades and plane, a photo from La Massana, North

Photographer's Note

The "Pic Alt de la Capa" has 2572m of height, and is placed in the Principality of Andorra, inside the ski area of Vallnord-Arinsal.
This one is the aspect that was offering me two days ago, during a pleasant walk near of my house there, in my small vacations of Easter.
The snow was covering completely this elegant mountain, the clouds were creating a few very photogenic shades on its hillsides, and a plane was overflying the place and was drawing its stela on the blue sky.
This was deserving to take a photo by means of my zoom lens.

El “Pic Alt de la Capa” tiene 2572m de altura, y está situado en el Principado de Andorra, dentro del área de esquí de Vallnord-Arinsal.
Éste es el aspecto que me ofrecía hace dos días, durante un agradable paseo muy cerca de mi casa allí, en mis pequeñas vacaciones de Pascua.
La nieve cubría completamente esta elegante montaña, las nubes creaban unas sombras muy fotogénicas sobre sus laderas, y un avión sobrevolaba el lugar y dibujaba su estela sobre el cielo azul.
Esto merecía tomar una foto en un plano cerrado con el zoom.

En WORKSHOP un ángulo más abierto.

what can i say about this one.
blues and whites will always blend so well together in a photograph.
this is no exception.

Très bon rendu du blanc sur ce sommet et ici le contraste est très agréable avec le bleu de ce ciel.Bien vues également les ombres suer ce versant.

Un cliché d'une grande simplicité , mais néanmoins très beau . Par la forme élégante du sommet , le contraste bleu -blanc , les ombres et lumières , bien sur , et aussi ces légers nuages ornant le ciel .

una bella cartolina da Andorra caratterizzata da semplicità di linee e da due soli colori, il bianco e l'azzurro che si incontrano a formare una bella composizione.

A crisp and clear image of this mountainscape. You are here exactly 103 meters higher than the highest point in my country. The top appears almost like an Egyptian pyramid. The sky was blue enought to provide a nice contrast. The air plane is a nice addition to this wonderful nature scene. Great job! TFS.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter. :-) This is a beautiful mountain shot, and although it was taken in the spring, it looks like it is still winter. I like the blue and white colors, and the way they compliment each other. The white frame you chose also looks great with the snow. Nice shadows and cloud patterns, too.

A voir les fourmis sur la crête de la montagne blanche, l'on mesure la petitesse de l'homme par rapport à la nature.
La beauté d'ensemble est magnifiquement mise en image. J'aime également le passage de l'avion laissant une traînée sur le ciel bleu griffé de quelques nuages.

Espero hayais disfrutado de vuestras vacaciones en Andorra, por el bonito dia de la foto el tiempo se ve bien, yo he tenido el peor tiempo de mi vida en una Semana Santa, en La Adrada excepto el Jueves Santo y un rato otra tarde, ha estado lloviendo todos los dias, esta todo enfangado de agua... caminos, praderas... etc. asi que practicamente en casa sin salir, hemos regresado esta tarde.
Esta foto es una sencilla pero preciosa imagen, con la intensa blancura de la nieve, que contrasta con el bonito azul del cielo, esas nubes ligeras dan un bonito juego de sombras sobre sus laderas.
Soberbia gama de color y una gran luminosidad, con una perfecta nitidez.
Os deseo una buena semana.

The contrast between the white snow and the deep blue sky is very appealing. The shadow of the clouds on the snow slopes is very appealing...The plane was not clearly visible, but then I managed to spot it

The title is apt, a vast snowy scape well grabbed beautifully as we are drawn to the main interests; the shades, the blue sky and the contour of the slopes well in focus. A visual feast to the eyes taken from good viewpoint, dotted of tiny skiers are pretty well visiible to trigger the senses. Indeed a breath taking vista and nicely presented with excellent notes and excellent white balance too. Well done, congrats

Josep, ésta última semana tuvimos calor en San Diego al los 32C que es muy estraño por ésta ciudad y tu foto me refresca mucho y me hace soñar de las montañas de España, para esquiar y aprovechar el invierno que llegará sin aviso particular..una foto preciosa con el contraste regalo del cielo!

wow! What a view, Josep. You captured it superbly. Great whiteness of the snow covered mountain and it is contrasting really well with the blue sky. The plane added to it as a bonus point of attraction. Great light and superb depth. A very good one from your archive. Tfs and Namaste.
