A shot of the Rozafa Castle lower ramparts. Might load a workshop later showing the view from the left walls. The views from the upper ramparts at right were even more impressive. The fortifications were mostly built by the Venetians, but the Illyrians & Romans were here before them, and the Ottomans after them.

Hello Chris,
This brings nice memories. I was here a few years earlier (but it looked the same then). This view combines the impressive walls with the fine scenery in the distance. There is a very nice view in the WS too. The colours are very well saturated, and the Albanian flag is as always a good eye-catcher (just as good as the Turkish).

Hello Chris,
A really nice landscape with a great mix with the old castle walls and towers. The sunlight was nice and bright and also the contrast with the dark wall at right is good.

Hello Chris,

You show us the remains of what must have been an impressive castle, stretching across the hillside. We get some indication of the commanding views that could be obtained from the ramparts but the w/s view confirms this without a doubt!

Hi Chris,
Impressive long row of ramparts. And wide open view to the valley looks great. Obviously Albania has lot of interesting and relatively unknown places to visit. Sidelight works well adding some shadows for contrast. I think this image leans a little to the left although it is difficult to choose a reference line.
