Photographer's Note

St. George's is the capital of Grenada and is known as “the Spice Island”. The town is surrounded by a hillside of an old volcano crater and is on a horseshoe-shaped harbor.

St. George's is one of the prettiest cities in the Caribbean so why it is popular tourist destination for cruise boats. The town has developed in recent years, while preserving its history, culture, and natural environment.

It has a moderate tropical climate that ensure the success of spice production. Nutmegs are a key crop, followed by spices such as cocoa, mace, cloves, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger.

Happy New Year 2020 to all TrekEarth members.
