Photographer's Note

35 year old slide that was scanned. (not the best but one of my favorites).
If I remember correctly this picture was taken next to the church in Sauteurs. The children were extremely friendly and quite curious. They wanted to know about Canada because the Canadian governmnet had given them financial aid for the construction of their school.

Close to this church is Carib's Leap.

"Directly north of the town of Sauteurs is a steep cliff face that descends vertically into the sea for more than 100 feet. It was from the top of the cliff that Grenada's last remaining Carib Indians hurled themselves in 1651, preferring suicide to domination by the French."
