Photographer's Note

Puerto Limon was our next stop on the trial of the Conquistadors, a small town and the main port of Costa Rica on the Caribbean coast. Here, too, Columbus was clearly ahead of us - he landed in 1502

The city gained importance mainly through banana exports. The bananas were induced by a railway line that connected the capital of San José Limón, the port and from there into the world. Today the railroad is abandoned, however, go on a short section trains for tourists.

Hello Achim,
The threatening sky makes for a particular mood, which is heightened by the rainbow. The scene is well captured with good sharpness.

The cloudy sky and the atmosphere of the rainy day give a strong graphical result in this composition, I like the diagonals of both wharves and the coastline and the mountains in BG.

Astonishing these footbridges of the foreground which give much of depth to this interesting photograph where I like the atmosphere which emerges due to this rather gloomy weather and this gray sky that this end of rainbow comes colourized. Good glance, well done Achim.

The long golden pontoon bridges cut quite a dramatic figure as the move out to sea.
The bit of a rainbow in the distanct silver sky and lovely tropical village complete this interesting coastal scene.

The bridge just stopped in the middle of the water? The rainbow is a fine addition to this picture where the light is low. The diagonal of the yellow bridge creates good depth, and the yellow creates a good contrast. A small informative note to boot!

schöne Komposition von diesem Hafen unter grauen Wolken. Den kleinen Regenbogen hast du gekonnt miteinbezogen und wenn man die Häuser auf dem Hügel betrachtet sieht man auch woher die Sonne für den Regenbogen kommt. Gefällt mir sehr gut.
