Photographer's Note
The top of Volcán Irazú (elevation = 3432 m) is established as a national park in Costa Rica. It is only a few hours drive from San José. There is a large, remarkably flat plateau of old lava within the outer rim of the volcano. On the northern edge of this plateau are two craters. The smaller one (Crater Diego de la Haya) is 80 m deep and 1 km across. This photo shows the larger, Crater Principal, which is 300 m deep and about 1 km across. The water really is green!

Hi William, amazing, what a colour... great place. Very good picture, with the mist from the vulcano, the deep green of the water and the plants, good work, chau chau,
Maria
